The Historical Names ArcGIS Server View Service is provided as a public service for viewing historical geographical names of non-residential objects connected to current data from the Database of geographic names of the Czech Republic (Geonames). One object can have several names excerpted from maps and non-map sources. The attributes indicate the probable period of use of the historical name, the language of the name, the full version of the name and abbreviations used in the source and the source of the name itself. The service is accesible through REST, SOAP and WMS interface.
